About Me
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for nearly two years. I live in Welwyn Garden City AL8 area with my husband, my 9 years old son and a very sweet Chihuahua called Nina.
In order to qualify as a childminder I’ve completed a Home-Based Childcare Level 3 Award which was delivered by PACEY and it is accredited by CACHE. I hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and a valid Paediatric First training. I am also educated to a degree level in Human Resource Management 2.1 awarded.
My house has plenty of educational toys and resources. I am planning to do lots of fun and educational activities based on EYFS Framework requirements. I have a dedicated playroom and a big back garden with a trampoline. I will also take the children out and about and attend toddler groups when possible. I speak fluent Portuguese, intermediate Spanish in case you would like your little one to practice and learn a second language.
My aims are to provide a fun, caring and nurturing environment, where the children can play, learn and grow together.
I have very close links with AppleCroft School, however, I would consider taking children from other nearby schools.
I have flexible opening hours and have vacancies for Full time, Part time, Permanent or Temporary.
My Experience
With my own child he is 9 years old, I have a range of children that I am looking after at the moment on a part-time and full-time basis.

Flavia cares for my two children (age 1 & 4) 2 days a week. My 1 year old is very happy in Flavia’s care and settles quickly. Flavia takes him to playgroup, for walks and soft play. She also provides a superb setting at her home, with a well stocked playroom and large garden. Flavia provides drop off and pick up to Applecroft for my daughter plus wrap around care. My daughter always has a wonderful time at Flavia’s. She often asks me to make her food! We are thrilled we found Flavia and we would highly recommend her.

My two-year-old son has been with Flavia for 10 months. Flavia is very loving, kind and genuinely loves looking after children. My son really loves his time with her. I have noticed my son’s confidence improving greatly and he is always a happy child in her care. They do many fun activities on daily basis from going to play groups to visiting local farms. Flavia’s home is truly a ‘home from home’. I would have no hesitation in recommending Flavia as a childminder.

Flavia has been looking acter my 6 year old 3 months now and so far he loves her and her cooking, which is good because he is hard to please.
She provides a safe environment and she does homework with him which i am greatful for. Inlove the big space she has as sometimes her son and mine play football outside.
I would recommend flavia to anyone.

Flavia looks after my 4 yo son. She has been great with him and my son loves her.
She has a great space for the children to move around , the place allows children to develop motor skills and also she does activities to re-enforce school learning.
Her location is great for work and school . I am very lucky to have found her.
