About Me

I am looking for an affectionate and bright person to look after a 10 year old after school. It should include at least an hour of school work or reading/ learning/ quiet activity.

My son is a good footballer, friendly and a great conversationalist. We are flexible but ideally require after school care for 2-4 days. We live 10 mins from school.

Helped at a critical time during first lockdown.

I reached out to Serena to help my 11 yr old cope with maths. He was slipping due to online teaching, and although not a whiz at can do well if he applies himself. Serena responded warmly, and I was very impressed by her organisational skills. We set up the lessons quickly and it was just enough to allow my son to feel back in control again. She can work with you on your needs, and has plenty of ideas on how to make things flow smoothly. I also thought it was great for my son to have such a young and competent role model!
