Our eldest daughter has been with this childminder since she was 11 months old, and still gets collected from preschool and spends afternoons here. She also now looks after our youngest 4 days a week.
We couldn't recommend her more - we chose this over a nursery setting due to the flexibility but actually there are so many other reasons why we are so pleased that we did. The girls get to go out on regular trips to local farms or Kew gardens, and I have been along on some of these trips and know that they are both fun and educational experiences. The girls are really made to feel like part of her family and have also become incredibly close with the other children in this smaller setting. I also found when my daughter started preschool she already had an excellent foundation in for example phonics, from her childminder, which has stood her in excellent stead. Our childminder also initiated potty training in both girls on turning two - making what I hear can be a difficult process go extremely smoothly for us! She also gives us excellent advice on any parenting concerns that we might have, and we feel relaxed and reassured trusting her with the care of our girls.
