Hi! We’re a friendly, busy family of four living in Bidborough Tunbridge Wells. We’re looking for a kind, reliable and experienced part-time nanny to help care for our two lovely boys, aged 9 and 3.
? Hours & Pay
11 hours per week (Tuesday–Thursday)
Morning school drop off: 7:30–8:30am
Afternoon School pick up and evening childcare: 5:00–7:30pm (except Wednesday: 4:00–7:30pm)
Pay: £17 gross per hour, rising to £20 gross per hour after 6:30pm
Petrol: reimbursed for school and nursery drop-offs/pick-ups
Additional hours may be available depending on parents’ work schedules, holidays, and occasional sick-day cover.
This role offers great flexibility - ideal for someone balancing other part-time work or studies.
We can also offer extra hours during school holidays, or extra hours for the right person.
This role offers plenty of flexibility - perfect if you have another part-time job or daytime commitments.
About Us
We’re a loving, down-to-earth family. Both parents have busy, high-responsibility jobs. I’m a hospital doctor with work including on-call and night shifts. My husband works in London three days a week and from home the rest of the time.
Our parenting style is based on gentle parenting - respect, warmth, and connection are important to us. We’re very hands-on parents and want someone who shares these values and will fit naturally into our family life.
Your Responsibilities
Your time will be spent mainly on childcare. Duties include:
School and nursery pick-ups
Creating a fun, safe and engaging environment after school and nursery
Planning age-appropriate activities that are both creative and educational
Keeping dining and play areas and children’s belongings tidy
No cooking required — heating up dinner and tidying up after meals
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced (at least 2 years’ nannying experience)
Driving licence and valid DBS certificate required
Confident caring for two children of different ages
Calm, positive and proactive
Comfortable driving for school/nursery runs
Naturally aligned with gentle parenting principles
Holidays need to be co-ordinated with family.
