I am an NNEB qualified child carer with over eighteen years relevant experience. I began my career as a Nursery Nurse in a Private Day Nursery, working my way up to management level before deciding to change direction and become a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School. I then became the Sole Charge Daily Nanny of four delightful children B5, G4, B2.5 and G1 for just over 3 years.
I was lucky enough to be offered a fantastic live-in Nanny position on the Islands of Bermuda in January 2010, looking after a lovely little girl aged 14 months, and her baby brother when he arrived a few months later. I absolutely loved my time there and extended my contract from two to three years until they both went to nursery school.
I have always loved children and babies. I find watching them grow, develop and reach their milestones to be extremely rewarding and having worked in various childcare settings over the last few years I have been able to turn my passion into an amazing career. I now have an invaluable source of knowledge and experience with children of all ages and would love to extend this even further with newborns.
I completed the highly recognised MNT's Maternity Practitioner award in 2013 which I thoroughly enjoyed. I accepted my first position as a maternity nurse in July 2013 for a newborn in rural Tuscany and fully embraced my new role with first time parents! They extended my contract from 3 months to almost 6 years in the end which included a new baby sister born in April 2016 which I was also a maternity nurse for alongside a junior in her first role. I have been luckily enough to travel to New York, Cape Town, Namibia, Turks and Caicos, Phillipines, Florida, Utah, and many more amazing places during this time so I am used to traveling with families and all this entails!
The youngest is now starting nursery school and Mum has decided to take a sabbatical from work therefore my time with them is sadly coming to an end . I am now looking to secure a new position, ideally caring for a newborn baby or older children where a sibling is due to arrive either here in the UK or overseas. I would also consider temporary roles caring for children under the age of eight years, including proxy-parenting roles.
Over 18 years child care experience in various roles and settings from birth to 8 years .
NNEB Cache Diploma in Child Care and Education 2000
MNT Maternity Practitioner Award Level 3 2013, Level 4 2017
Paediatric First Aid 2016
I'm available from May 25th onwards for full time, preferably live-in positions either temporary or permanent...here in the UK or overseas!
