My name is Donna and I'm an Ofsted registered Childminder as well as a fully qualified Early Years Primary School Teacher. I am also a Forest Childcare provider.
I am 37 years old and live with my husband and three children. Our house is situated in Lower Morden, opposite Morden Park.
My house is a smoke and nut free zone and is also very spacious and welcoming, with a large secure garden. I provide a safe and interactive environment with a wide range of toys for children of all ages in the play area and garden.
As a member of the Forest Childcare Association and being so close to Morden Park, we have regular planned outings there with the children, in order to support their individual developmental needs using the Forest Childcare approach.
One of my main aims is to ensure the children in my setting are happy, comfortable, nurtured and at ease in their environment as I believe this is key in helping with a child's development.
I provide home-made, nutritionally balanced meals and snacks, which are included in my standard hourly fee.
I am very passionate about caring for children and enjoy offering them a range of learning opportunities including: baking, arts and crafts, messy play, role play and music activities.
As well as providing a variety of activities in the house, I enjoy being out and about and like to take the children to a range of local parks, woodlands, farms, playgroups, soft play as well as going on nature walks, plus many more on a weekly basis.
I care for children aged between 9 months -11 years, and also provide after school homework support for key stage 1 and 2 aged children. I am also available for tutoring Mon-Thur between 7pm - 8pm.
I'm a non-smoker, hold a clean current driving license and have my own transportation (7-Seater).
Prior to being an Ofsted registered childminder, I was a qualified Early Years Specialist and primary school teacher for the age range of nursery to year 6 for a number of years.
I am very passionate about working with children and with over 10 year’s experience within this field.
I offer children a nurturing and caring environment and one-to-one support within a calm and welcoming 'home-from-home' setting, focusing on the 7 areas of development.
I also believe that being a mum myself, provides fantastic first-hand experience in caring for babies and young children.

Morden Park Childcare has been fantastic and my daughter hit it off with them straight away. Very professional services and highly recommended.
They dropped my daughter to school and collected her every day and were great at communicating and keeping me updated with any information past to them by the school.
She was fed healthy and interesting meals with lots of variety and I really liked the home from home atmosphere.
Every day, they set up after school activities and my daughter always came home telling me how much she enjoyed doing them and she loved bringing home the things that shed created too.
Donna puts a lot of thought, effort and preparation into activities for the children, making sure they experience lots of things and have plenty of fun along the way
I would highly recommend Donna to anyone as she has been fantastic and really takes your views on board and makes you and your child feel at ease!
Donna & Ant provide such a lovely, caring, safe and comfortable environment for my son, who has been in their care now for 5 months. They have such a beautiful outdoor space with numerous toys to be kept entertained. He thoroughly enjoys his time there, has made loads of arts and crafts which he brings home excitedly and often asks to go to “Donna’s house!” It’s lovely to see the friendships my son has made in Donna & Ant’s setting, not just with the other kiddies but with Donna & Ant’s family too. It’s great to receive a monthly newsletter stating what the topic is for the month ie Dinosaurs and any other specific activities that will be covered during that month. A monthly menu of healthy home made meals is also sent out, which is great to see. I love that Donna creates a beautiful journey planner book for each child, which shows photos and comments of their time in the setting. It’s such a lovely gesture and beautifully written up to show the progress of each child. It’s great to see that Donna also provides a daily diary to show everything that has happened for that day. My son has definitely settled in nicely to the setting, is progressing so well with Donna’s previous early childhood experience and I couldn’t ask for more from them. They are truly amazing carers for my son and offer a fun, happy and safe environment for him. Donna is always so polite, friendly and helpful when it comes to any questions I have or advice needed. I knew from the moment I met them, that their setting would be great for my son 😇
My daughter has been with Donna for almost 4 months now and I could not fault a single thing. She loves to run up to the door and often forgets to say bye in the morning which is a great comfort to me as it shows she is excited to spend the day there. Donna is very good at keeping me in the know of everything that is happening and sends photos regularly. She has a beautiful and spacious garden for the children and takes my daughter on a variety of days out and she comes home with new arts and crafts. She has learnt alot in her time under the care of Donna. After my daughters settling in period I had no issues with going to work as I felt reassured and confident with care Donna offered. I highly recommend this care setting.
Can not recommend Donna enough! Our little girl started with Donna when she was 10 months old. She needed a little encouragement settling in to begin with and Donna and Ant were so supportive and made the transition to childcare for our family so much easier. Now our little girl LOVES it here. She is happy at drop off and runs through the door excitedly to play with her friends. Sometimes, at home time, we have to pull her away because she enjoys socialising with her buddies so much and always leaves with a smile.
The care provided here is fantastic. We receive a great menu with well thought out healthy meals and a newsletter outlining what the children will be learning about. Their home is clean, engaging and there is lots of space for the children to play in. The toys, garden and activities planned, provide lots of opportunities for fun and learning throughout the year. The same goes for all the outings planned for the children during the year too. We are so happy with the experiences our child has here and always look forward to hearing what they got up to at the end of the day.
We also really love how creative Donna is. Every week we get some sort of crafty item home and our little girl loves showing them off. Monthly, we also get a communication book which details the different things she has been up to with lots of photographs and annotations based on milestones and her social learning.
It is safe to say that our daughter is very happy in their care and it gives us such peace of mind to know that she is well cared for, loved and entertained while we are at work. It really is like a home away from home for us.
Response by MordenPark Childcare on 17/04/2019:
Thank you so much for your kind words. Its been such a pleasure caring for your little one and supporting her learning. We look forward to many new adventures together!
My 3 and 6 year old sons have been looked after Donna for a year now and they both love it!
Donna has a lovely set up with a large bright play area and great garden. She is very kind and caring towards the children.
Donna is flexible and considerate. She is happy to take the children earlier than usual at short notice. She also tries to get them ready to leave by the time I pick them up.
The children are progressing really well with Donna. As she used to be a primary school teacher I feel reassured that my children can get any learning support that they need.
Donna is able to provide home cooked meals. Both children are quite fussy eaters but now seem to be eating much better and trying new things.
I rate her care for my children as excellent and would highly recommend her to other parents.
