About Me
Hi I'm Gill, I've been a childminder for over 30 years, and I absolutely love caring for babies and young children. I have two grown sons and am a grandmother.
I prefer to take care of only one or two children at a time aged 0-3, and have often cared for siblings.
I live near Notting Hill Gate / Ladbroke Grove / Holland Park in West London.
I've lived in the area all my life and I love to take the children out to local stay-and-plays, parks and museums so they get to make friends with other children, as well as other outings.
I am currently looking looking after a 3 year old little girl and have space for an addtional child.
When I'm not working I volunteer at the community church and spend time with family and friends.
I'm OFSTED registered with all my first aid, safeguarding and OFSTED courses up to date.
I would love the opportunity to care for your precious children and help in their early year development.
My Experience
I have taken care of many babies until they've grown up and started school, and often their younger siblings as well.
I have helped with potty training and weaning and all the big milestones of the first few years for all of them.
I also love preparing them for school, going over the alphabet and numbers.
All my first aid & other OFSTED required courses are up to date. I have remained close to all the families I've cared for, and am happy to provide references.
My Qualifications
OFSTED registered and trained, first aid trained and safeguarding registrations.
My Availability
I am available for childcare throughout the week and occasional weekends or evenings.

Gill has been taking care of our son since he was 7 months old (she has him two afternoons a week now that he's in year 1 and on school holidays) and she has been wonderful - she basically potty-trained him (we followed her instructions), weaned him (ditto), and was always teaching us and him. She cared for him alone for a year, always taking him to stay and play or on outings so he had lots of social interaction but also quiet one-one time with her. Then she took one other child of the same age and they had a wonderful time together. Gill's family also embraced our son as if he was one of their own. He learned a huge amount from her and benefited immensely from the loving environment she provided while we were working. Gill is a warm, generous, caring person with decades of experience with babies and young children and enormous wisdom. I'd be very happy to talk to anyone considering her as a childminder and answer any questions.
