Hello! My name is Lorena I am self- employed and I am 37 years old ,mum of a lovely toddler( he is at nursery when I am working), I am from Spain originally and I came to the uk in 2013.

My Experience
I've been looking after children for more than 8 years, at the moment I am a part nanny for a 3 years old girl, I've been looking after her since she was 10 months. Before that I was nanny for a bilingual family with 2 amazing kids , I started to look after the little boy since he was 13 months and his sister since she born .I was their Spanish tutor and I was looking after them full time for 5 years(nanny live out position), just before that I was working in a primary school and I was nanny for 2 years( 2 kids from different families),also I was babysitting 5 other children from different families.
My duties were, meal preparing, baths, taking them to swim, playgroups, museums, messy play set ups and art and crafts, go to the cinema, go to the parks and a light house work like cleaning the dishes, tidying up their bedrooms and hoovering when it need it.
I started a cleaning business couple of months ago and I do have so contracts with a private houses and I am also the manager of an Airbnb

We have confirmed this lady for a certain date and over the past 3 weeks we have been communicating with her and requesting a video call. She requested for us to delay the vid call as her child was sick. This wasn't really a problem to us. She was very accommodating at first but after we confirmed that we'd book her, she's not been replying on a timely manner. She did not come back to me to confirm a video call appointment until I texted her back. and she replied that she now could not not make it because her work boss asked her to work on our date. We've let go of a potential sitter with more qualifications because we wanted to honour the booking with her. Anyway, I won't risk booking her if I were to be asked.

We spoke two weeks ago for the first time, 3 days ago you confirm that your mother in law is happy with me being in her house, and then you told me around 18:30 if I can video call at 19:30. I did not reply straight away no, because I have a child to attend and yes I can not do the babysitting for you and I told you yesterday if I could double check with you and I said today that I can’t do it. if I need to help my boss I want let her down for 1 of babysitting.
Your babysitting is the 20th of May.
I’m sure you will have someone by then , I have been here 5 years and I had plenty of jobs that they were and are satisfied with my job, I wish you the best.
