About Me
Hi, my name is Stella of Stella’s Little Stars, I live with my husband, of many years, and our grown up children.. We share our spacious home and garden with a few pets.(cats, a small dog and Speedy the tortoise.) We have lived in Redhill for over twenty years and enjoy being in walking distance for so many wonderful, child friendly places. I enjoy messy, arty activities and exploring our surroundings on foot and short bus/train rides. I love music/singing and going to see live music concerts. My main aim in life is to learn new things in a fun way and to show children that growing up needn’t be scary but lots of fun!
I like to learn from my mindees as well as them learning from me. At my setting, my mantra is ' every child deserves the chance to shine' and they do!
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2013, receiving three consecutive 'Good' reports over all aspects of the Ofsted inspections ( including the new , more rigorous checks, in Jan 2023) . Before that I was a pre-school teacher for over eight years. I have had the pleasure to work with children/families from many different backgrounds for over twenty years. I have many years experience working with families who have children with additional needs, where I supported them in any way I could. I have recently been dusting off my Makaton signing skills to aid a family, as I do not speak their home language fluently. (EAD).
My Qualifications
NVQ3 in childrens care and development.
Up to date First Aid trained.
Up to date Safeguiding training.
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene.
Online training-weekly ( various subjects)
CSEs and O levels in Engilsh, Childcare, Home Economics, Maths and Sciences.
20yrs+ Professional road safety experience.
My Availability
I have a vacancy for Monday-Wednesday childcare. This could change after January 2024.
My usual working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 6.00pm, but will consider other days and hours on an individual basis . (trying to have Friday pms off for long weekends away, but not needing every one off).
I am available for pick ups at St. Matthews primary school (Redhill).
I have availability for FEET funded 15-30hrs, 2-4 yr olds from January 2024, as my little ones are growing up and will have left me to attend full time education.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.25 per hour
£6.25 per hour, excluding meals and outings.( am/pm snacks and drinks included.
Two weeks fees paid in advance to secure a place.
Variant rates for outside contracted hours / occasional childcare needs.
