About Me

I’m Lorraine, 54, married to John, and mum to our grown-up son, James. We now live in New Milton with our two small dogs, having returned to the New Forest in 2020 to be closer to family and friends. The area has always felt like home — it’s where John and I first met back in the 1990s.

Family life has always been at the heart of who I am. While raising James, I worked part?time so I could be fully involved in his childhood. I often cared for his school friends, hosted sleepovers, and even took one of his friends on a family holiday to France. Those years gave me a natural, hands?on foundation in childcare, which I later built on with an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

Over the past several years, I’ve supported families in both Hampshire and the New Forest in nanny and mother’s help roles:

Bransgore (2020–2021): Part?time nanny/mother’s help for a single mum with two girls. I provided after?school care, school holiday support, and helped with day?to?day routines.

Petersfield (2018–2020): Part?time nanny for two boys aged 6 and 9. My role included homework support, preparing meals, playing games, park trips, arts & crafts, reading stories, and light household duties to help their mum manage a busy schedule.

I’m often described as reliable, flexible, honest, trustworthy, friendly, and caring. I take pride in being responsible, healthy, and positive — and I’m told I have a good sense of humour too. I’m confident working independently, happy to muck in wherever needed, and always aim to make life a little easier for the families I support.
