Fun, enthusiastic support worker for child with autism
Nicole is a sparkling 9-year-old girl with autism who is part-time educated at home.
Our job is to help Nicole build social, language and communication, and academic skills through child-centered activities.
Plan engaging activities for Nicole based on her interests
Accompany second support worker and Nicole to outdoor activities (horse riding, swimming, gymnastics) and help facilitate home activities
Attend and participate in team meetings and training
12.15-3.15pm, 1-3 afternoons a week during term time only.
Days are flexible. We are looking as a priority for someone to join the provision on TUESDAY and FRIDAY AFTERNOONS during term time, as well as providing sick cover on other days.
Have or be able to obtain a DBS check
Great enthusiasm for working with children and interest in child-centered methods
Experience - either professional or personal - with special needs or autism
Study or work in childcare, special education or other related fields
Excellent training is provided in this role. Pay is between £10-15 per hour depending on experience.
