Hello! I am a PhD student studying Climate Science and Policy at Imperial College, London. I have an MSc from Swansea University in Environmental Management, as well as an undergraduate from the University of Exeter, having studied a BSc in Conservation Biology. I am an engaging, sociable person and have spent previous summers volunteering at the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in New Quay, Wales. I enjoy wildlife photography as well as other outdoor activities, including hiking and kayaking. With everything that I get involved with, I enjoy challenging myself and pushing myself to interact with new people.
I have recently finished a role as part of an outreach team that goes to different secondary schools in the Cornwall area teaching extracurricular classes to students aged 11-16 about scientific topics that are not generally covered in the national curriculum, including, but not limited to, different marine biology topics, biotechnology and other topics of interest that the class chooses.
I have also taken part in several volunteering events where the main goal was to interact, engage and teach the general public about different aspects of science, with a focus on the biosciences. These include events such as BioBlitz and the University of Exeter run Science in the Square, where I had to engage with a primarily younger audience of 11 and under, in order to encourage an enthusiasm for the natural world.

As a University student at Imperial College my availability is very flexible and I am willing to do unusual or long hours, given enough notice. I will also have time during the weekdays available for tutoring, although this will be dependent on my schedule. I will be available at regular times on a weekly basis and these are times I'd happily discuss and organise in advance. During the evenings on weekdays I will be available on short and emergency notice.

I have two children, one 16 year old and one 11 year old. Victoria was very friendly and thorough! She managed to help my oldest with his gcse maths and he now feels a lot more confident working out new problems on his own. My youngest was struggling with her sciences and Victoria was so enthusiastic and patient. Will definitely be ask Victoria to come back!
