I would describe myself as nurturing, caring, compassionate and lots of fun. I am energetic, reliable, trustworthy and honest.
I have been a professional Nanny since completing 3 A Level's at Wilmington Grammar School for Girls. I own a car/ clean full driving licence/ DBS Check. I am in the process of registering with Ofsted.
I have a grade A in Food Technology at GCSE, and love providing freshly cooked (from scratch) nutritious meals.
Hobbies: cooking, kayaking/ paddle boarding at Bewl Water Canoe Club. I hold a life saving swimming certificate and have just joined a Krav Maga Self Defence club. Whilst at school I completed the National Citizen Service Award, and also completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
My mum has a Childhood Studies degree, has managed early years settings and has been a nanny for many years so I have a fantastic source of information in this area, and have been able to visit her and gain valuable experience while she is working.
My most recent role: Currently providing full-time care for an adorable 22 month old little boy in Orpington. My role involves full personal care (including potty training), taking him to classes/playgroups, visiting local parks and other outdoor activities, settling him for his daily nap and providing a safe, nurturing, fun and stimulating environment at all times. I also help mum with the laundry, keep the nursery tidy and any other ad hoc tasks as required.
This role has unfortunately come to an end due to a change in my employers own work circumstances and excellent references are available upon request. I am available from 16th January and am extremely flexible regarding hours and babysitting.
I have provided temporary nanny holiday cover for a lovely family in Chislehurst, comprising of 3 children aged 9, 7 and 5. Role consists of the school run to Merton Court Prep School, ensuring all 3 children have the correct uniform and equipment for after school clubs, tidying the nursery/playroom during the day, providing high quality nutritional meals from scratch and supporting them with their homework after school.
During 2015, I was a voluntary Childcare Assistant at a pre-school in Sevenoaks called The Children’s Workshop, where my mum was the Manager. The children were aged 2 - 4 years. I supported the children in various activities outdoors during Forest School sessions and helped them to learn through play and exploration.
I assisted the staff team during circle time, snack time and drop off/collection. I have a good understanding of the prime areas of learning in the early years: Personal/Social/Emotional, Physical and Communication/Language.
For 3 months during 2016, I was also a Voluntary Young Leader at 2nd Swanley Beavers as part of my Duke of Edinburgh award which involved supporting 6-8 year olds in various activities during weekly meetings.
