Caroline has been a nanny to our son with complex medical and special needs for the last 2.8 years, he is now 4 and she started with us when he was 18 months. He spent the first 12 months of his life in hospital and we found it hard to believe we could find someone we could trust to look after him, given his tough start to life and additional needs. We fell in love with Caroline upon our first meeting with her and are truly devastated to lose her as our nanny as she has become family. She is so warm, caring and positive and creates the most wonderful fun and nurturing atmosphere and our son has thrived and developed so much under her care. She is extremely hard working, trustworthy and reliable, with a wealth of skills and experience. She is always thinking of fun, creative and engaging activities for our son to do. From organising trips out to a local toddler group, the playground, daily walks and lots of fun in the garden, our son was kept stimulated and active at all times. In between all of that, Caroline is amazing at keeping on top of all of the daily admin and childcare related chores, I don’t know how she fits it all in, she truly is the hardest working person we know. At the end of the day, everything is tidied away and ready for the next day. She is always one step ahead, so organised and preempts what’s needed, we never had to ask her to do anything, she just does it!
Unfortunately the demands of our role have changed a lot, it is extremely physically demanding (carrying around a 17kg boy who has delayed gross motor skills) and this is challenging given Caroline’s recent Parkinson’s diagnoses. However, we cannot recommend Caroline highly enough, her next family are going to be so incredible lucky to have her.
