In addition to myself and my wife, we have two daughters aged 3 and 6. Our 3 year old is mischievous but adorable, and loves getting stuck into an activity with a little help from an adult. Our 6 year old struggles to hold attention to one thing (other than the TV...) but is constantly curious and playful. They get on well together, although usually like a bit of time to themselves after a while. Our whole family has just moved from about 40 miles away, so we're still adapting to a new home, new community and new schools and work, but we love being in Stirling.
With the rest of our family being some distance away, we would be really grateful for some extra support with childcare in a few ways. Ideally, we'd like our elder daughter to have a bit more flexibility about her after-school activities, so some help in taking her to clubs or other activities would be a big help instead of always the after-school club. I'm off work on fridays so can manage then, but it'd be great having help on the other weekdays. Also we'd like to be able to take the occasional night off, and might do something regularly if it looked like that could work. Finally, there are the odd occasions where help in the mornings, afternoons or overnight would just give us more options for dealing with illness, job demands or other wee crises. Ideally, we'd find someone who enjoys interacting with them and doesn't mind repeating things a few times!
