Hello and welcome to Sarita’s Childminding Services.
I stay in Morningside with my husband and my 13 year old son.
I became a childminder to allow me to care for my own son and offer a service to others who would like their children to be cared for in a relaxed and homely environment. I have complied with all aspects of the registration requirements and hold a registration certificate. PVG and Disclosure Scotland checks have been done for me and my husband.
My Experience
I am a registered childminder with SCSWIS and a member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA).
My Qualifications
I have also completed a Paediatric First Aid Course, Child Protection course , Food Hygiene Level-2 and SCMA Induction Training.
My Availability
I work Monday-Friday , please check detailed availability. Adhoc childcare ,weekend cover, school holidays is also possible depending on my schedule and availability. I can also cover other schools other than listed below depending on location/timings.

Sarita has been caring for our son for around 14 months, starting with holiday cover in June/July 2024 and then regular nursery pickups from Bruntsfield. She provides such a loving, home-from-home environment and has built a beautiful bond with him; he absolutely adores her.
Sarita’s communication with us has always been excellent, and she often shares photos and updates, which makes such a difference and really helps ease the “mum guilt.” Our son is always well fed, enjoys lots of outings to the park, and comes home happy and content.
Sarita has become an important part of our extended family, and we feel so lucky to have found her. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, reliable, and truly special childminder.

Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed attending after school care with Sarita. Sarita was great at providing a mix of activities and Catherine particularly enjoyed the trips to the parks and festive parties. Communication was excellent and we looked forward to seeing pictures of what they had been up to. I have no hesitation in sending our other child to her next year.

We've had our son with Sarita since he was in P2 (he'll shortly be going into P5) and I can honestly say that we're sad she's no longer covering our school as we would have kept our son with her until he started high school.
Our son has been really happy with Sarita and has felt so comfortable and welcomed. Sarita is really loving and caring with the children and makes sure they are happy and healthy. She goes out of her way to have activities for them, whether that's board games or a trip to the local park when the weather is good. Ourselves and our son will be very sad to say goodbye to her. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing childcare.
