I am 25 and graduated in 2016 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Education from Bath Spa University.
I have always been fond of caring for children, perhaps due to being an only child, I thrive in being in the company of others, as well as being content in my own company when time permits.
I am passionate about what I do in providing fun, safe and specific individual care, giving every child the attention they need.
I also have a great love for the outdoors, travel and sports. Within the last few years I have been able to explore many countries, including South Africa, the French Alps, Saudi Arabia and most recently Australia and Hong Kong.
I am also trying to learn and practice the French language at a higher level than basic.
Combining my passion for childcare and travel has always been a goal of mine and I am very fortune to have been given various opportunities to make this happen.
I regularly socialise with friends and they would describe me as being responsible, understanding and non-judgemental. I try to take everything at face-value and mostly just want to have a good time and enjoy what I do. I would say I am fun, honest and always up for a challenge or adventure!
During and since graduating, I have gained invaluable experience working with all age ranges of children, specifically 12 weeks to 12 years.
For the past three winters I have worked in the French ski resort of Alpe D'Huez as a ski nanny. The jobs I did allowed me to be responsible for providing a first class childcare service to my clients as well as planning and delivering activities that were inviting and stimulating for each child. I have been trusted with the sole-care of up to 10 children at a time, under the age of four. I have also had the opportunity to work with babies aged 9 weeks upwards on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio and have been responsible for researching and planning exciting and fun activities suitable for these age ranges.
It is important for me to invest time and effort into the preparation of these tasks which is rewarded by learning outcomes, and the knowledge that I have provided a great service.
My experience has allowed me to work in a number of different settings including nurseries, primary schools, being a ski nanny and working in VIP households so would hope to be an asset to your family.
I have completed a number of training courses in child care to further my professional development. These include: First Aid Training – Paediatric, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, AED, and Enhanced DBS Certificates, Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate and Level 2 Safeguarding of Children Certificate.
