Hi, I'm Kathy. I am Ofsted registered and I run ABC Childminding. I'm a former early years teacher and provide childminding services in Norfolk Park, S2 Sheffield.
I have a well-equipped, large house and garden, a family car and live close to a local park/playground. I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS check.
I am available to provide childcare Tue/Wed, all year round, including during most school holidays.
My Experience
I am a former primary school teacher with over 20 years of childcare experience (ages 0-7). I was previously the SENCo (special educational needs coordinator) in school and have lots of classroom experience with children who have a range of special educational needs. I am happy to provide childcare for children with SEND.
My Qualifications
I was previously graded as 'outstanding' by my childminding agency in June 2021 but have since moved to Ofsted so don't have a current official grade.
Qualified Early Years/Infant teacher and phonics specialist. I have qualifications in childminding, first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene. I have also completed courses in the EYFS, child development, behaviour management, Makaton (sign language) and baby massage, to name but a few.
My Availability
Flexible hours Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I am also available for FEL and EFE funded childcare (subject to eligibility) and accept tax-free childcare payments.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.60 per hour
My standard rate is £5.60 per hour. Additional costs apply before and after my usual working hours. Minimum 8 hours per day.

I was nervous about my son changing childminders but he couldn't be happier with Kathy. Kathy is incredibly organised with very thorough policies. Very clear communication and provides opportunity to share feedback too. Sends lovely photos every day showing what a great time Johnny has been having throughout the day. Plans activities around engaging themes - it's great seeing the different costumes and activities they get up to. Wonderful and would recommend to anyone.
