About Me

Ofsted registered childminder: my passion is taking care of children and helping them through their learning journey. I enjoy exploring different ways to keep children's minds stimulated and follow the EYFS, whilst ensuring they feel safe and secure in a peaceful environment.

I provide healthy and wholesome foods (lots of fresh fruit and veggies) for young ones as I believe it is important for children to have a balanced and varied diet. I love to experiment with different recipes so that food is always fun and interesting for little mouths to enjoy. I also make a lot of homemade cookies and cakes together with my daughter so that she is able to have fun during the process and be able to eat it after!

My home is loving and warm with a nice sized garden so that children are able to play outside and have lots of fun with different equipment and games. I have a cat called Coco who is very affectionate towards children, and my daughter is very fond of taking care of him as she is still learning about how to care for him.

I currently take my child to lots of different places where she can experience/participate in a range of activities such as going to museums (eg Horniman), libraries (rhyme time), soft-play, parks, zoo's and children centres. Outings are usually done in the mornings, and then afternoons are spent at home for play. This is something I would love for children to be able to experience with us.

My Experience

I have experience looking after my own little 2 year old daughter and also my young niece and nephew. In addition, I was a back-up carer to a local foster carer to three young children. I have also volunteered at a school in Hackney helping young children to read. During my spare time, I also volunteer to provide help and support for events held at my niece's school.

My background in education is centered around IT. However, I decided to take a different career route focusing on children which is something I have always dreamed of being in the position to embark upon. Since I have had my daughter, I have realised that it is a continuous learning journey for both of us, and is both very rewarding and pleasurable.

I take great joy and pride in my everyday role as a mum, and together we are always entertained! I would love for any potential children who join us to enjoy being a part of our family, and to share new experiences and have lots of fun.

My Qualifications

Completed Childcare training course (Ofsted approved) - Modules includes: Understanding and working with the EYFS, Recording childrens developement, Safeguarding children, Nutrition, Developing Children's Learning. Completed QA Level 3 award in Paediatric First Aid (complies with EYFS/Ofsted requirements).
