About Me
I am local nanny with more than five years’ experience. Over this time, I have nannied for a range of ages - from 10 months to 11 years.
Alongside my five years nannying, I have also worked in preschool and nursery settings, volunteered at a crèche, and lead youth club sessions.
I am passionate about working with children, with a particular focus on early years. I believe that every child has enormous potential and can thrive with the right care and support.
I particularly enjoy setting up enriching activities such as messy/sensory play for the children I look after - in my current nanny position, we do everything from rainbow water play to jelly digs!
I'm also keen to inspire a love of reading from an early age, as I believe books are brilliant tool for exploring emotions and relating to the world.
I try and spend as much time outside as possible with the children too - encouraging curiosity with our magnifying glasses (and I have a background in floristry, so we also enjoy learning flower names)!

We have had Clara baby sit for us a number of times and also had her help in the day. I have a 5 year and twin 2 year olds. She is really warm and kind with the girls and her communication is great, letting me know how they were getting on. Felt really happy and confident in her skills and care for the girls!

Clarissa has looked after our children (age 4 and twins age 1) on numerous occasions. They absolutely love her and talk about how fun she is. As a parent I feel completely safe and secure leaving my children with her as she is always reliable, safe, communicates brilliantly and positive. Highly recommend!

Clarissa was a fantastic, experienced nanny who went above and beyond for our child and our family. I fully recommend choosing her to care for your child/children.
Clarissa nannied our 1 year old daughter for a few months when I returned back to work. Some of her stand out qualities were:
Proactive: Clarissa was really proactive in providing great experiences for our little girl. She took her to the aquarium, on bus rides, out to local parks, on playdates and more. She was also proactive in looking for ways to help us around the house, both asking what she could do as well as taking great initiative. We'd often come home to a cooked meal, vacuumed floors, a spotless kitchen, etc.
Loving: Clarissa really loved our girl and was so quick to build a warm, nurturing relationship. She was always gentle and kind whilst also being assertive. She spent time playing, reading, dancing with our child, and supported her development.
Safe: Clarissa nannied for us during lockdown, and went to great measures to ensure that our daughter and our family was kept safe. She was amazing at sanitising, hand washing, etc. Her many years experience also meant that she was clearly fully aware of general baby and child safety too.
Thorough: Clarissa was really thorough, being highly attentive to specific instructions we left regarding our child's routine. This meant we felt respected and able to communicate our and our child's needs. It also meant I felt really comfortable leaving my girl in her hands. She brings her full self to the job and wants to do the best she can.
