About Me
I have many years experience of working with children and families for 25+ years. I am skilled in supporting, caring for and teaching new parents how to care for their newborn baby while also allowing parents the time to rest and recover from the birth of their baby. I am kind, friendly, understanding, empathetic, a good listener, professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I have 2 adult children of my own aged 21 & 18. I have current enhanced DBS and am registered on the update service. I have many fabulous references from clients that I have supported over the years, with quite a few god children.
My Experience
I have experience of caring for babies and children from birth - 18 years old.
I have previously practiced as a childminder for 25 years caring for upto 6 children at any one time. I managed a nursery for children aged 2 years - pre-school, 2 surestart children centres, supporting new parents and ensuring parents had access to resources locally. I have also worked within child protection teams, managed early help services and completed assessments for children and their families. I have most recently supported children with disabilities whilst employed by the local authority.
