A Truly Wonderful, Reliable Nanny

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Niki care for our daughter on Thursdays, and honestly don’t know how we would have managed without her.
From the very beginning, Niki was professional, calm and reassuring, exactly what you hope for when trusting someone with your child. Her communication was excellent throughout: clear, thoughtful and always proactive, which gave us real peace of mind. She was also flexible and accommodating when we needed it, which made a huge difference to us as a family.
Most importantly, our daughter absolutely adored Niki. She quickly grew excited for their visits and formed a lovely bond not only with Niki but also with her son. Seeing how happy and settled our child was in her care was the greatest reassurance we could ask for. It was clear that Niki creates a warm, safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued.
Niki is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to childcare and child development, and that experience shines through in everything she does. She is attentive, caring and instinctively knows how to support children at each stage, always putting their wellbeing first. We always felt our daughter was in the safest of hands.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Niki to any family looking for a nanny. She is reliable, kind, highly experienced and truly wonderful at what she does. We are enormously grateful to her and would like to take this opportunity to thank her for the care, support and reassurance she gave us, and our daughter.

Experienced and skillful

A consummate practitioner of a nanny, Nikki has all the skills a family should expect for the role. Her considerable experience was demonstrable from the start of her time with us. The tone she adopts with children is soft and gentle yet focused and her ability to communicate effectively with them well was unquestionable. This clarity of her communication was also a benefit for her interactions with us, making our planning straightforward. Another of her notable strengths was her planning around the children’s meals, for which her preparation was thoughtful and the food nutritious. In summary, we found Nikki to be a skilful nanny, very comfortable in the profession.

Excellent nanny!

Niki looked after our son between the ages of nine months and two years - until the age he started a nursery. She and her daughter were an integral part of our family during this time - and it’s difficult to put into words how lucky we’ve felt for that to have been the case.

Niki is reliable, punctual and has great attention to detail in everything. She prepared age appropriate food in a way that our son enjoyed eating it. She’s always picked up on the slightest changes in the wellbeing and mood of our son and both alerted us to them and handled them appropriately. She’s taken the initiative to fix broken toys and torn books. She’s helped out with chores for our son and with odd bits around the household.

Niki’s background as a preschool teacher shined through her work; she’s got a depth of knowledge and a keen interest in child development which translated into her day-to-day effort. She repeatedly came up with creative ideas for age appropriate play and activities - always encouraging our son to move onto the next level in terms of his understanding of the world and physical development. Her experience showed in the way she communicated with him, involved him in day-to-day activities and encouraged him to communicate with other children.

We found having Niki’s daughter accompany our son day-to-day delightful. She is a sweet, well behaved and social child. The two children developed side by side, learned from each other and provided invaluable companionship to each other during the pandemic. Niki’s extensive experience with children again showed in the way in which she made sure both children got the appropriate amount of attention by addressing their specific needs.

We cannot recommend Niki enough! She - and her daughter - will be greatly missed by us!
