Hello my name is Hannah and I live in Tunbridge Wells after moving from Brighton over a year ago.
I have worked for years within the education sector in heritage and cultural institutions which reflecta my passion for history, art and working with children.
I have four nieces and nephews who I am very close to and a large family who I love nothing more than spending time with.
I currently work in a school setting and would love to supplement the work I do with Key Stage 3 and 4 students by working with a family unit as a babysitter.
For the last ten years I have worked as a babysitter for both family members and friends who have all had busy, fulltime jobs.
For three years I looked after an adorable little boys whose parents worked as oncologists at Brighton hospital. Watching him develop and grow over this time was incredibly rewarding, however after three years the family moved to Cornwall.
I would look after Toby during evenings and weekends, from when he was 2 until he was nearly 5. I would follow a strict night routine with him to ensure he kept to a sleep pattern, prepare and heat his meals, change his nappies, take him out to parks and walks, read and entertain him and often take him to baby rhyme time classes.
I have four nieces and nephews under 7 who I look after on regular occasions, take on educational visits, take to swimming lessons and put to bed in the evenings. My 2nd youngest niece also has Autism which can be challenging and requires me to understand her complex communication needs, routines and need for patience and deep understanding.
These skills are also reflected in my current role as learning assistant at The Judd School in Tonbridge. My position here involves working closely with students between 11 -17 who can have special educational needs such as autism and ADHD and providing support and assistance with their classroom learning.
Previous to this I worked as an educational facilitator in numerous cultural institutions - such as The V&A and Hastings Museums - where I ran half term art clubs, baby bounce times, school tours and youth groups.
I am dedicated to providing caring and dedicated care to children of all ages, and am currently undergoing my application to train for a PGCE to teach Art and Design.
I have a BA degree in Politics and an MA in Art History and Curating, where my thesis focused on the importance of educational facilitators in the cultural sector.
I have for my current role attended a thrwe day youth mental health training day to become a mental health first aider.
I have a certificate as an approved provider for assisting students with ADHD and ASC. I regularly attend conferences such as Maidstones 'Help your school to shine'.
Currently I am applying to gain QTS in Secondary Art and Design Education.
I have full first aid training and a full DBS certificate.
I am avalible Monday to Friday from 5.30pm until 11pm and Saturdays until 6pm. I would be avalible to work the odd Saturday or Sunday evening also, just not on a regular basis.
During school holidays I would be avalible suring daytime hours also.
