Hello my name is Lydia!
I am a babysitter/nanny with 7 years of experience working with children. I have a BSc Hons degree in Psychology. I can provide babysitting with ages from 0-13. I have all the necessary skills and experience to look after children such as help with homework, cooking, bathing etc. I love working with children and have enjoyed all of my experiences in caring for them. I hope to eventually work in child psychology as my future career. I have an upbeat, bubbly personality which helps me a lot when looking after kids as I enjoy teaching them art and creating games for them to play!
My Experience
I have a large variety and range of experience with children ages 0-13 years. I have worked in nurseries with children ages 0-5 for the last 3 years. I have also worked in after school clubs with primary children. I have been a babysitter for multiple families in Edinburgh, an au pair/ nanny in Australia for 6 months while balancing multiple babysitting jobs. At the moment I have currently been looking after a 1 year old and a 6 year old for 4 days a week. I also have a 4 year old sister and 2 year old sister who I regularly take care of. I am a member of the SSSC and I am PVG certified.

We visited Edinburgh for a few days, and after some research and a call with Lydia, we decided to leave our 2-year-old baby girl and 6-year-old boy with her. My daughter find it difficult to get used to new people, but she connected really well with Lydia, which surprised both me and my wife. The children had so much fun with Lydia that they even asked when we were coming back to Edinburgh to play with her again. I fully recommend Lydia as a nanny. She has an incredible ability to build rapport with children.

Lydia has been looking after our 3-year old 1day/week for about a month now. She is very professional and energetic, which works perfectly with our son. I would totally recommend her.

Lydia has been looking after our one-year-old and 7-year-old for a few full days a week during the last few months. We couldn't have wished for a better babysitter/nanny! The children love her. She is very proactive, taking them out and about and coming up with great play ideas. We really appreciate how reliable and responsible she is and would highly recommend her.
