I currently work in Cliffdale primary academy. I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who strives to achieve a high standard and can adapt to whatever is undertaken. Some of my duties included:
-To maintain a safe, secure, friendly environment for the children
-Registration of new children, liaise with outside agencies, professionals and families whilst maintaining confidentiality.
-Plan activities that meet the children’s developmental needs and interests, providing encouragement that enables them to reach their full potential
-Maintain children’s profiles through assessments and observations
-Actively support and maintain the health and safety of both adults and children and complete risk assessments as required.
-Recording and relaying accidents and incidents in an appropriate and timely manner.
-To respect confidentiality of all information received.
-Adhere to all policies and procedures and making sure they are implemented.
-To liaise with Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW), Flying start for inspection purposes and other outside agencies
-Responsible for facilitating field trips - This involves driving theminibus and conducting the relevant risk assessments
-To role model, mentor and guide students.
-Ensure SEN children have equal opportunities and that their personal needs and development is met.
-I am a keyworker to a group of children, I assess, have family time, care and ensure that their milestones are being met.
I have attended many courses, gaining many qualifications up to the level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, learning and Development. This has given me the unpinning knowledge an understanding to be a skilled and experienced practitioner.
