Hi, my names Kelsey!
I am a happy, energetic person who loves to help children grow and meet their milestones through fun, stimulating and educational activities.
I am looking for babysitting / nannying work around Weston-Super-Mare and Bristol. I have my own car with a full driving licence and am willing to travel.
I currently have 7 years in childcare, working my way from a nursery practitioner, all the way to a nursery manager!
From my experience I am confident in looking after children aged birth to 5 years, although I have experience in working with ages up to 16 years.
I can cook healthy and nutritional meals, to which I hold my level 2 food hygiene and allergen training certificate. I am more than happy to either carry out activities in your home, or to take your child(ren) out to participate in activities outside of your family home.
I am confident in following your own routines and ensuring that the children's needs are met throughout my time spent with them, I am also confident in completing making bottle for babies, carrying out baby-led weaning or meals which are suitable to your young one. I am also happy to carry out nappy changes, assist in toilet training and help with sleeps.
I believe that children learn best through play and I'm not afraid to get messy and love trying out new activities with the children which will be exciting and engaging to them! Although I am also mindful and respectful of your family home and will always ensure that both my own and the children's mess is cleaned up after any activity.
I have been told that I'm a warm and approachable person, if you would like any references then please get in contact with myself so that I can make these available to yourself.
I hope to be hearing from you soon!
I began my childcare journey through attending Weston College in 2014, where I completed my Level 3 in early years.
I then began work as a nursery practitioner at a local nursery, where I worked with children aged from 5 weeks to 5 years, primarily in the baby room. Here I was responsible for the daily care of children, setting up and carrying out activities, general cleaning duties, meal prep and tracking their development.
In 2016 I then took on a new role at a different nursery, primarily working with preschool children. Here I was the room manager and was responsible for the daily running of the room, ensuring that the children's needs are being met and cared for, the activities which are set up - ensuring that they are age and developmentally suitable for the children.
In 2017 I decided to continue my development and began Uni through Bath Spa University where I completed my Level 5 foundation degree in Early Years, to which I am now in the process of completing my level 6 BA Hons in Early Years Education.
In 2019 I then took on a new role as a nursery manager, for children aged birth to 5 years. Here I gained experience in the general running of the nursery, ensuring that the care needs of all children of all ages were being met, cooking and preparing nutional meals and that the activities set up for the children were age suitable.
Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children's care, learning and development
Level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years
