Hello,
My name is Avigail, and I am a student tutor living in Maidenhead, UK. I am a third year medical student at King's College London.
In May 2020 I achieved my my International Baccalaureate Diploma with 42 points / 4A*s (studying Biology, Chemistry and Spanish at Higher Level, and English, Mathematics and Spanish at Standard Level).
I tutor students in a range of ages, abilities and subjects. Most recently I have tutored quite a few children around primary school age, with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills, as well as with older children with a focus on sciences and languages.
I believe that through building up a student's self-confidence by setting up attainable goals and creating a positive learning environment where questions and mistakes are encouraged, this is essential to getting them further. During lessons I like to work interactively with students on what they find challenging or would like to learn, to help them become confident and achieve their best.

My Experience
I have several years experience tutoring students from a diverse range of backgrounds. This ranges from helping primary school children with homework struggles, practicing literacy and numeracy skills with students, teaching English to underprivileged students and a foreign languages mentor for GCSE students.
My Qualifications
IB Diploma: 42 points / equivalent of 4A*s at A-Level
12 A* GCSEs: Including in Maths and English Language
Enhanced DBS check (I have previously volunteered with elderly residents and people with disabilities, where these have been required)

I met Avigail as my 10 year old daughter's tutor this summer. She's just very good in all aspects - professionalism, sincerity, reliability, time keeping, and her elegant way of speaking - she set a really good example for my daughter.
