About Me
I am currently available for 1:1 private tutoring in the Chester and Ellesmere Port area. I currently work part-time as an Inclusion Lead within a primary setting, and have some available for weekday, evening and weekend work. I am a committed and caring educator who sees the positive in all pupils and believes educational experiences should be engaging, exciting and most of all effective in moving children on in their learning journey. I love what I do and would love the opportunity to support your child with their learning, whatever their strengths, development areas or personality type!
My Experience
I am an experienced Primary School teacher with a thorough understanding of the curriculum across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and experience of tutoring up to KS3 in Maths and English. I’ve worked in Primary Education for 17 years, including 7 years as a Deputy Headteacher leading on teaching and learning and curriculum development. I love teaching children, developing new and initiative ways to engage them in learning and watching them grow in confidence, independence and ability through our time together. I have worked with a huge range of children, with varying needs and abilities and have a broad understanding of effective learning strategies to suit individuals. Within my current role as an Inclusion Lead in a primary school, I have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs and removing barriers to learning to help all pupils achieve.
