I have recently moved here from The Netherlands after living there 16 years. I am in the process of applying for a home childcarer certificate from early years Northern Trust. My application for Access NI enhanced check is also being processed.
My Experience
I have worked for 30 years as a qualified nanny (also known in NI as home childcarer) within UK and overseas. I specialise in special needs families, which includes physical and emotional development needs. I have focused on attachment style theory to create bonds in families who have experienced trauma. I am a trained counsellor.My experience ranges from maternity nannying, new born upto and including 14 years old.
I have working with bilingual parents, single parents and recently bereaved parents.
I have experience with diverse family situations which include varying religious beliefs to agnostic.
School styling has been a combination of home schooling, "free school" and Montessori style teaching focusing on a child's talents.
My ability to connect is essential in my job role as I believe connection between all family members is equally important.
My philosophy is that whatever age we are the most important thing is to feel seen, understood and taken seriously.
