Hi, my name is Sandra. I am a mum of two children, both in full-time education.
Originally from Portugal, I have been living in London since 2000, where I began my childcare career and gained extensive experience working with children.
I am a responsible, caring, empathetic, trustworthy and honest person with a warm and friendly approach. I am passionate about supporting children to feel happy, confident and secure as they grow.
I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, socialising, music and dancing, and travelling. I also value healthy living and a positive mindset.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over two decades, gaining experience as a nanny, nursery assistant, childminder, and primary school teaching assistant. Following the birth of my first child in 2010, I spent six years working as a full-time childminder from my home, providing wrap-around care for families. More recently, I have worked in a primary school setting as a TA and MFL teacher, as well as delivering ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) sessions to support children’s emotional wellbeing.
I am passionate about working with children and find it incredibly rewarding to contribute to their development and early experiences. I value strong partnerships with parents and carers and take great pride in providing consistent, high-quality care.
As a childcare professional, I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn and grow through play, positive relationships and a supportive approach. My aim is also to make childcare as smooth and reassuring as possible for families, either in my home setting or the child's home.

My Availability
I am currently offering Ofsted-registered childminding services in the Southfields (SW18) area, providing a safe, nurturing and engaging home-from-home environment where children can learn and develop through play, routine and positive relationships.
I accept families eligible for the 15 and 30 hours funded childcare scheme, supporting working parents with flexible and affordable childcare options. I am available for full-time, part-time and wrap-around care.
If local demand for childminding is limited, I am equally happy to continue offering my live-out nanny services within a 5-mile radius of SW18, providing care in families’ own homes.
Availability: From May 2026
Monday–Friday (year-round)
Approx. 8am–6pm (flexible depending on location and family needs)
Babysitting available upon request.
All paperwork is fully up to date, and excellent references are available on request.

Sandra looked after my 2 sons for over 2 years.
During that time Sandra provide healthy meals, a whole host of activities both inside and outside. She offered trips to museums, parks and play centers in the school holidays and had a excellent structure to the days.
Our sons loved visiting Sandra's house where she provide a warm and loving environment. On top of all of that Sandra is a pleasure to deal with and very efficient and very honest.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
