About Me
I am a fun loving, kind and arty person who encourages creativity through lots of daily activties. I come from an arts background and have a fine art BTEC, Ceramics degree and a recognised level 3 child care qualification. I have a passion for messy play encouraging children to expore, touch and feel different materials, learning new vocabulary along the way. The experiances children have when they are young are a special part in their learning journey.
I am a keen gardener and love the outdoors, so I would be very happy to take the children for picnics, have days out, go to the zoo, the beach or go on nature walks.
My Experience
I have many years experiance working in and managing a nursery. I have worked my way up over the years working with all ages. I have been a baby room leader, senior nursery practitioner and deputy manger. At my last two nurseries I was the special educational needs co-ordinator. I worked along side professionals such as speach and language therapists to educational psychologists to support children and staff. I have experience working with new borns to the age of 12, children with speach and language delays and Autism.
I have knowledge of the EYFS and planing activties to help children meet milestones for the age and stage of development. With many years of employment in nurseries I would be very happy to work in partnership with the children's nursery. If required I would be able to do observations at home to add to their learning journal.
Over the years I have had experiance in being a nanny for three familes. I have done lots of baby sitting for different familes. Please feel free to ask for a copy of my CV.
My Qualifications
Recognised Level 3 child care qualification. Fine art BTEC, Ceramics degree. GCSE's In English, maths, science and more. Level 2 in basic food hygiene. Peadiatric Frist aid certificate with eppi pen training
I have an extensive portfolio of certificates relating to childcare and special needs. Which can be viewed.
I hold a clean driving licence, have enhanced upto date DBS which can be viewed online. All qualifications and refrances can be provided when needed.
My Availability
I am currently avalible most week days after 3pm. l am also avalible for evening and weekend baby sitting with notice.
I am happy to travel upto 1 hour for the right family.

Tia has known our daughter since she was 9 months (now 3 years) and has looked after her with all the love and care that anyone could ever ask for. She is an experienced nanny and weaves in learning into every play experience. She is patient and understanding as my daughter can have her occasional difficult moments. During lockdown she has looked after both my daughters and balanced their needs for attention. I wish we could keep Tia as my kids nanny but unfortunately she now lives too far away. Anyone would be lucky to have her look after their children.
