About Me
Where do I start? I would describe myself as bubbly, friendly, silly and adventurous. That’s why I can easily relate to children. I decided to register as a childminder because I feel you can get to know children and form attachments with them in a home environment. I also think parents appreciate the flexibility and freedom of home-based childcare, such as being able to take the children on an adventurous walk in the park. I have always loved working with children; they are wide-eyed, creative, individual little people and I love getting to know them. Adventure Ark Day Care is a safe, nurturing home from home environment and just the place where children can learn through activities that suits their individual needs and interests.
My Experience
I have several years experience working within childcare, I have worked with children from birth to 12 years old in a variety of settings which include nursery, school, after school, holiday clubs and childminding. I also have experience working on a one to one basis with children with SEND

Adele looked after our son 2 days per week, for about 9 months, from shortly after we moved to Sheffield, until we moved area (he was nearly 2 when he started). If we hadn’t have moved, we would have definitely kept him with Adele for longer. Adele was brilliant – she has a really nice way with kids – she’s very expressive and enthusiastic, and tuned in to how sweet and funny kids are, and she also has a warm and grounding energy (literally never seen her flustered). From really early on, our son wanted to give Adele a cuddle goodbye at the end of the day – it’s a really big thing leaving your little one with someone for the first time but it made it a lot easier, seeing how quickly he formed a genuine bond with Adele. Adele’s two sons are also lovely, and our son would often talk about them both. We got plenty of photos, and they got up to a wide range of activities, including creative things and plenty of time out and about in the local woods, which our son really enjoyed. We would thoroughly recommend Adele to anyone looking for a childminder 😊
