About Me
We’re a relaxed, friendly family based in Nottingham. Dad’s a teacher, Mum’s on maternity leave, and we have two children – a 7 month-old baby and a 4.5 year-old. We also have a very lovable dog who’s part of the family, so you’ll need to be comfortable around pets. We’d love someone who can fit seamlessly into our home, keep things calm and supportive, and feel like an extended part of the family while you’re with us.
My Requirements
Afternoon Family Helper / Babysitter / Housekeeper wanted to start in January.
We’re a warm and busy family looking for an eager, energetic nanny to help us during the afternoon rush! This is primarily a childcare role with light household help mostly related to the children.
We have a 4.5-year-old and a 7-month-old, so you’ll need to be confident and experienced with both young children and babies.
Duties include:
• Occasional school pick-up (car required)
• Preparing and cooking simple, healthy dinners for the kids
• Helping with homework or playtime after school
• General tidy-up of play areas and children’s things
• Running occasional ad-hoc errands (e.g. quick shop runs, dropping something off)
• Stepping in to lend a hand where needed
We’re looking for someone who’s reliable, caring, and happy to get stuck in — ideally someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and being part of a family’s routine.
Details:
- Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
- Hours: Around 2:00–4:30/5 pm term time
- Own car essential
- Occasional weekend babysitting and holiday work available if interested
Perfect for a uni student or part-time worker who’s organised, fun, and looking for regular, rewarding work with a lovely family.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
Requirements
• Confident, kind, and experienced with small babies
• Warm, flexible, and happy with a less formal working relationship
• Must have a DBS/criminal record check, first aid training, and relevant childcare qualifications
• Own car for reliability and occasional extra help
• Must like dogs
• References required
Our son is starting daycare 2 days per week in March, so hours may change.
We’d love someone who is not just “staff” but a trusted extra pair of hands and a reassuring presence in our home. If this sounds like you (or someone you know), please get in touch
