About Me
We have a 3 year old autistic daughter who goes to nursery until early afternoon and we need a nanny to look after her at home.
My wife and I are full time working professionals and are currently doing hybrid working (2/3 days from home) and most of the time we'll be able to provide support as needed.
My Requirements
Our daughter is very sweet and loves cuddles, loves the outdoors, dancing, and playing with water. She is pre-verbal but her understanding is growing: she understands simple commands, leads by hand, and knows how to ask for regulation support. She has hearing processing disorder so sometimes needs to use ear defenders or removing from environments with shrill noises. She also has sensory processing disorder for movement in space and proprioception, and doing physical activities (bouncing, going on slides and swings) helps her massively to regulate.
You need to have experience with SEN children, sensory processing disorder, and experience with child-led activites.
Responsibilities would include picking up from nursery, play in the park/playground, bring her home / take to therapy clinic, and do learning activities.
We would prefer if you could also help with household tasks / food preparation when our daughter is sleeping or otherwise engaged (eg. during therapy sessions).
We offer a very competitive rate in line with SEN experience.
