I have been childminder for 19yrs, I started when by son comming up to 5, I have a daughter who 27 both still at home and her boyfriend lives with us all have been CRB checked, My daughter abd her boyfriend are deaf and their first language is British sign language but both lip read,
My Experience
Have looked after children from the ages 18wks to 9yrs old through all the years i have cared for children, Still speak to my very first child i looked after now and then, I love doing cooking with all the children,arts craft actives' We go to toddler groups, walks , we go to the parks neither in the car or walk, I love giving children a home from home care, i found this poem which how feel about being childminder Although I'm not their mother I care for them each day. I cuddle,And watch them as they play,I see each new accomplishment and help them grow and learn.I understand their language and listen with concern.They come to me for comfort and I kiss away their tears. They proudly show their work to me I give the loudest cheer. NO i'am not their mother But my role is just as strong. I nurture them and keep them safe. Though maybe not for long I know someday the time may come, When we will have to part, But I Know each child I've cared for Is forever in my heart !!!!!
