About Me

Hi, I'm Emma, mum of two and a primary school teacher with experience as a private tutor. I love helping children feel more confident about themselves and their learning, and always strive to make my sessions engaging and fun!

My Experience

I have over 10 years experience working as a primary teacher, teaching all subjects on the British curriculum. I also have 6 years experience as a private tutor, mostly tutoring Maths and English but also helping children prepare for the 7, 8 and 11+ exams. I have worked in both the private and state sector, and I spent my last year as a teacher specialising in teaching Maths and working with children with additional learning needs. I am very happy to provide references from families I have tutored for previously, and am fully DBS checked.

My Qualifications

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher, trained in the UK.

My Availability

I can offer online tutoring, or in person sessions at my home. If you would like online tutoring and are based in or around the Epsom area I am happy to do an initial session/meeting in person. I have lots of experience tutoring online and can use platforms such as Zoom to very effectively recreate the face to face tutoring experience.
