Hello! I’m Esthea, a qualified Midwife, Maternity Nurse, and Hypnobirthing Practitioner serving Bath, Somerset, and Wiltshire. With nearly a decade of midwifery experience, I founded my independent practice, The Country Midwife, in early 2021. I specialize in offering bespoke antenatal and postnatal support, tailored to meet the unique needs of your growing family.
As a mother myself, I understand the profound changes that parenthood brings. I believe that having professional, reliable support can make the transition to life with your baby smoother and more enjoyable. My goal is to provide you with the time and space to recover fully from birth and focus on bonding with your little one.
My services include personalized guidance on all aspects of infant feeding—whether you’re breastfeeding, combination feeding, formula feeding, or expressing. I also offer practical assistance, such as caring for your baby so you can rest, helping with household tasks, preparing nourishing meals, and providing emotional support with unbiased advice.
Whether you need daytime visits or overnight stays, I’m here to help you feel confident and calm in your new role. You can book my services for the early weeks with your newborn or extend them up to 12 weeks.

My Experience
I have been working with women and their families for over a decade. Practising in a variety of maternity settings across the UK for the NHS. Including stand alone midwife led units, acute maternity units and more recently as a community midwife in Wiltshire.
This last year (with “The Country Midwife”) I have provided maternity nurse and postnatal home support services for several local clients. Helping with breastfeeding and night time care of baby. Please contact for a reference.

- Maternity Nursing from £30.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
