I asked bubbly/wendy to come for an initial interview. Her messages to me were very vague and she never answered the questions I had for her about ways she would handle small children etc, nevertheless I still decided to ask to come for an initial interview since she had reached out to me initially and expressed interest in the job I had posted. On the messages and job advent, I had clearly outlined that she would need to provide me with legitimate documents so that I can verify her identity since her username doesn’t match her actual name and also as a precaution for my welfare and my child’s safety. I had also clearly posted on my advert for Nannies NOT to contact me and waste my time if they were reluctant to sharing their information. Despite this, she still reached out and agreed on the messages that she would share them before I let her into my flat. On the day of the interview, I told her I would meet her at reception, check her documents and then I will take her to my flat. Instead of meeting at the reception, she was demanding for my flat number and at this point I didn’t know if this was a dodgy stranger and was going to tell her to leave. After half hour, she turns up at reception with a big scowl on her face and when I greeted her with a smile, she was being very rude and there was no hello, and she was making a scene in front of the receptionist. I asked to see her documents, at this point she was speaking to me really rudely and with a lot of attitude, hence why I would avoid using her. She made it into such a big deal and had a frown on her face, I was so put off by this, I was considering asking her to leave. The interview itself was more to see the way she interacts with my child, but it was just her going on about her career history and there was very little interaction between her and my child. She made some unnecessary comments regarding my child as soon as came into my home. Overall the experience was just terrible and was just embarrassed that I let someone like her into my home and make my scene in front of people that I know.

⚠️ For those interested in this listing, please be aware of this employer. ⚠️
After many amazing experiences I have had with countless families on this app for many, many years, I have met my match with TKA. I had gone on trial for a single UNPAID expedition with her child who was very sweet and pleasant, and behaved very well with me.
However, before taking on this role, I was a little apprehensive when I had read the very passive aggressive introduction on this lady’s page, where she mentions not to “waste her time” not once, not twice, but thrice.
In her listing where she is supposed to explain her situation, her goals and my role, she spent only half of this message doing so. She mentioned her 2 year old child but did not mention that her child had extra care needs though it would have been beneficial for her to just be upfront with this, so that we can adjust any expectations and so that I could be properly prepared and efficient for when the time comes.
Yet in her listing, she mentioned how she had been previously let down by people she had deemed “not qualified enough”, and could not meet her high standards. It would have been nice to know what these expectations where beforehand:
She says: “Please don't contact me if you are looking to waste my time and if you don't have proper experience looking for toddlers, I've already come across too many inexperienced "Nannies" on this website that are incompetent or have wasted my time showing that they are interested and decide to back out last minute because they don't want to provide any appropriate documentation.”
And “l've already had many time-wasters.”
And “Don't contact me if you can't manage the duties.”
It seems that she has taken a disliking to each and every nanny that has applied before and that I was no different in her eyes. She was texting me at unsociable hours, asking for my Passport details and I said no. After a long time of her asking, her replay was “Are you nearly 60?” Then she prodded me for my home address, when we hadn’t even had any interview or discussion. It was getting quite personal and unprofessional.
Once I had met her for the interview, I made my own preparations for parking as I wasn’t offered a permit or somewhere to park. When I arrived, I asked for her flat number. She said no and that she would meet me at the reception area. I waited for ages and showed all of my childcare qualifications, up to date first aid and enhanced DBS. Also my driver’s license and passport. She looked at them and said they were all fine.
Once I entered her home, there was no chair available for me—I sat on the floor. Her husband came in and had offered me his chair from where he was working from home. I declined as he was preoccupied with work and could tell that he clearly needed it. Her son was sitting close by and played with the sponge balls that I brought. It was brilliant!
She was very cold and unshakable about proving the validity of documentation of which I gladly handed over. My DBS was, and still is, up to date, but it did not reflect that on my Profile. I work with an agency and this needed some time to be processed with them. But since my DBS is absolutely still valid, I made a point to bring it with me in person. I was upfront with this and she seemed to be accepting and understanding of this—but not anymore, apparently.
In my eyes I believed I was not good enough for her because of my age and my race as I am 59 and not Asian. If she had an issue with any of this, she could have told me this to my face instead of being malicious and unfair. Please do take this into consideration before judging my work or my character and please do feel obliged to make up your own mind with your decision. Thank you for reading 😊
We had her look after our two young boys for a couple of afternoons. She was professional and very caring. My boys were very happy and will be happy to have her look after them again.

Absolutely amazing! We needed a babysitter for an evening while we were in London. Wendy came with a very short notice and my daughter had the best time, she couldn’t stop talking about what she was doing during the day.
Will be getting back definitely as soon as I will be in London again! ❤️
