Friendly and welcoming environment.

Lisa has been taking care of my son regularly for the past few months and has always been very reliable. On the one occasion that she was unavailable, Lisa gave me plenty of notice and even recommended an alternative childcare provider. My son enjoys his time there and looks forward to it each time he goes. He and Lisa's own daughter have grown quite close and their goodbyes at pick-up time can sometimes take a while. I would recommend this little family to anyone.

Reliable and Flexible

I have been using Lisa's services since I went back to working full time since around December 2022. She's really helped my son get used to being with other kids and other people since he was very subdued since he was born during lockdown and was pretty much scared of people.

My son loves them both especially her daughter Ella. Since my son have started going to Lisa's it has really improved his social skills and have now transitioned into nursery really well. On his first day of nursery he didn't even cry! I was also really concerned by my son's speech and it is now coming along really well and it really started to improve when he started to go to Lisa's and continued to improve when he started nursery.

I still use Lisa on an ad-hoc basis just now but I pretty much just used her services for childcare when I went back to work, her flexibility really helps me out a lot and I've really appreciated it.

I wouldn't believe any reviews she's received from people who have actually not used her services as she is good at what she does and treats my son as if he was her own.

Dissapoitment, unproffesional attitute

I'd like to add review and experience with this childminder. Herloisa ( Lisa) was happy to look after my one year old daughter Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm We had an appointment on Thursday 19.10 at 6pm due to weather conditions (which was perfectly understandable) we did not meet and postponed the appointment on Friday, due to my oversight on the exact address of her home (I apologised to her) Lisa was happy for us to reschedule our appointment. After several messages that I sent to her unfortunately there was a lack of response from the sitter. Finally, when I wrote her a final message on Monday 23 October, there was also a lack of response. I asked my sister to write her a message, which came as a big surprise to me. Lisa answered my sister right away with interest about taking care of a 4 year old girl from 4 to 7 pm from Monday to Friday and I was completely shocked after that she completely ignored my messages. When my sister replied to her that she had not behaved professionally in wooing me, Lisa replied to her that she is a rude person and blocked her immediatly . I am a single mother and I would like to go back to work to provide my daughter with everything she needs, unfortunately Lisa has taken away this opportunity for a better future by ignoring and disrespecting us. I hope that the parents of their children will bear this opinion in mind.

This person has been harassing me the whole weekend after being late for our appointment. I don’t answer to work queries during the weekend and I answered her immediately on Monday morning very politely turning down the job as I am not available anymore on the hours she’d be needing me. But not satisfied with harassing me for days, she sent her sister who *supposedly* needed me too, but on different hours. The hours requested now were different so I was indeed able to help. Sadly, I am not trained to deal with her child’s specific needs so I felt it’d be wiser to turn down the job. She then called me unprofessional, in a rude and inappropriate tone, and I will always stand up for myself. I am a single mum as well and I do not tolerate harassment and rudeness. As a self-employed, fully registered childminder, I have every right to take or not take any jobs. Which I always do in an extremely respectful and polite manner. Every parent I have worked with so far can attest to my professionalism, good manners and kindness. If anything, this parent’s profile should be reported and have a bad review, not mine. Respectfully, Lisa.

Excellent, safe, caring, adaptable

Lisa was an excellent minder for my child providing a safe and fun environment. My child still sometimes talks about the good time she had at Lisas. Lisa was flexible and adaptable to my childs needs while also recognising my childs strengths. She also paid attention to how the children interacted and what they needed as a group.
I haven't rated food as I supplied food for the days my child was in Lisa care. Any difficulties with communication were due to my lack of knowledge about how Scottish systems work and not anything to do with Lisa.

Calm, warm and flexible.

Lisa has been babysitting my 4 year old at her home for a couple of weeks and we have been delighted. Lisa is calm, friendly and has been very flexible with our needs. My little one has a bit of separation anxiety but really enjoys going to Lisa’s house and playing with Ella, who is also lovely. Lisa has also proactively been doing letters with my little one. Happy to recommend.
