Hello I’m Ila, I am an OFSTED childminding agency registered childminder with over 20 years of experience caring for children from 6 months to five years.
At Ila’s Montessori, I provide a warm, nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. My setting is based on the Montessori philosophy, encouraging children to learn through play, exploration and hands-on experiences while developing confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Every day is carefully planned to provide children with a balance of learning, creativity and fun. Activities include:

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), I support every child to develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for their next stage of learning.
Settling-In Sessions
Starting childcare is a big milestone for both children and parents. I offer flexible settling-in sessions to help your child feel happy, secure and confident in their new environment.
Parents are welcome to stay during the first sessions until their child feels comfortable and ready to explore independently.
Government Funded Childcare
Funded childcare places are available for eligible families, including:
• 15 funded hours
• 30 funded hours for eligible children from 9 months old

Over 20 years experience in childcare including Nursery work, Professional Nanny and working abroad.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Childcare Diploma, Full Paediatric First Aid, Safe sleep, Food Hygiene, Forest school training, Safeguarding children, EYFS Learning and Development.
My Availability
Monday - Thursday 8.15-18.15
We offer All Year Round & Term Time Only contracts
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Childminding from £9.50 per hour
£95 per day and £47.50 for half day

Ila is an absolute gem and we couldn’t recommend her more highly. Our son is always excited to see her and drop offs have never been a battle, which says everything. She creates such a warm environment where the children clearly feel completely at ease. She sets up the most wonderful sensory activities, makes sure they get plenty of outdoor time and play every day and serves a varied and balanced diet that we really appreciate. It truly is a home from home setting. We don’t know what we would do without her! 🩷

Ila has cared for our 15 month old for the last 6 months and we are so happy we found her! I trust Ila completely with my baby and never worry about how he is when he is there. He always reaches out for her when we arrive which I take as an amazing sign that he is super happy there.
Ila takes the children outside every day or to super fun things like softplay or a role play cafe. She does really inventive indoors activities that feel really fun but are also educational.
I love the completely personal way in which Ila works. Our son doesn't eat much and is a bad sleeper- both of which she has gone above and beyond to accommodate him to make sure he eats and sleeps whilst there.
I wouldn't change anything about how Ila looks after our baby and definitely won't be moving him anywhere else! Thank you Ila, we love you! xx

We feel really lucky to have found Ila. She’s warm, kind, and just naturally brilliant with children, and it shows in everything she does with Aria.
The biggest giveaway for us is how excited Aria is to go to her. There are no morning battles, no hesitation, she just happily goes in, which honestly says more than anything we could write here. You can’t really fake that kind of reaction from a child.
Since starting with Ila, we’ve noticed Aria becoming more confident and willing to try things on her own. She clearly enjoys all the activities Ila plans, and being around the other children has helped her learn patience, which as any parent knows is no small achievement.
One of our favourite little things is that Aria sometimes copies the way Ila speaks. She’ll suddenly come out with these very polite, gentle phrases and we just look at each other like, “well… that definitely didn’t come from us!” It’s lovely, and a bit funny too.
Most importantly, Aria clearly feels safe, happy, and cared for. She talks about Ila with so much affection, and that’s the best reassurance we could ask for.
We honestly couldn’t recommend Ila more. She’s not just a great childminder, she’s someone who genuinely makes a difference.
