About Me
Hello, I am Katy Jepson of Amethyst Childcare, located in Somerford, Christchurch.
I aim to create a nurturing environment that fosters a love for learning through play and socialising with others. We regularly venture out to playgroups, other childminders settings, the beach, park, local shops, the library and further afield such as the New Forest, farms and the Oceanarium when circumstances allow. My hour hourly fee includes snacks, a hot lunch and entry to weekly playgroups.
I like to maintain regular communication with you, sharing photos and updates of your child's progress.

My Experience
I have been a childminder since August 2022 and completed my initial training via Childminding UK. I am currently completing an Early Years Professional Development Program with a focus on speech and language, mathematics and personal, social and emotional development in children. I am also a member of The Childminding Best Practice Club who provide ongoing support created by Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' childminders. This means I complete monthly training modules to enhance my practice and knowledge of how best to support your little ones and ready them for school. I hold up to date certifications in safeguarding, food hygiene and first aid.

My children love Katy, they love staying with her and that says it all! Katy always try to do different things with them, make sure they socialize with other children, takes them to play outside, does lots of development/learning activities targeted to their age. Lots of games, lots of space outside to play! I can only say good things about her!
