About Me
I am a warm, creative and experienced 24 year old primary PGCE student currently places at a primary school in Bristol. I have experience caring for, and teaching, children from 6 weeks to 18 years old.
I specialise in primary school-based Special Educational Needs, but have experience in EAL teaching and tutoring secondary school children.
I am available for babysitting/nannying and/or private bespoke tutoring for any age up until 18 years old.
I love working with children of all ages and believe that children are naturally creative and curious. I have always encouraged an interest in the outdoors and included this in my tutoring and play.
I am able to cook well, not from any professional training, but a mum and grandma that passed on some good old home cooking!
I am also paediatric first aid qualified.
My Experience
I have 2 years experience of working with children - the first, as a Native English Teacher in a Hong Kong primary school from September 2020 - July 2021, and the second as a SEN teaching assistant at a primary school in Bristol.
Within this role, I have received specialist Autism and ADHD training.
I also have experience from my University years as an Aupair nanny in Milan and Corsica. I was responsible for caring and teaching young children in a family setting.
I have three years of nannying and babysitting experience - I can provide references for these.
My Qualifications
I have a 2:1 BA in French and Italian from the University of Birmingham and a level 4 TEFL qualification.
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate.
I am paediatric first aid qualified.
My Availability
As a trainee teacher, I work all day - but am free in the evenings for tutoring and babysitting, as well as weekends. I am so free at half terms and during the summer holidays.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
For babysitting, I charge £12 an hour.
For tutoring, I charge £20/£25 an hour depending on preparation etc.

Grace very kindly came to my rescue very last minute when I was requesting a babysitter for a weekend because I was away at a wedding and needed childcare for my 2 year old daughter. With just a few days notice, she happily accepted the job and was very reliable from then onwards. She totally respected any requests/rules I had around my daughter’s routine etc - cooking her the dinner I requested, putting her to bed when I requested and also giving her a bath before bed. She was calm during my daughter’s tantrums & handled them well too! My daughter isn’t the easiest little girl to babysit as she has hit the “Terrible Twos” but Grace was amazing with her and wasn’t phased or put off by her tantrums which was great! Very trustworthy - we left her in charge of our house keys and our house for long periods at a time and she was completely trustworthy and respectable. Overall, Grace is just such a friendly and reliable babysitter, so I highly recommend. My daughter loved spending time with her and became comfortable and confident around her very quickly. :-)

I am so grateful to Grace for her help and kindness. She was calm, reliable and really helpful. My children had a lovely time with her.

Grace was really great. From all the correspondence beforehand to when she came to our house she was super personable, friendly and professional. I felt completely at ease leaving the kids with her, they warmed to her straight away and were having fun doing crafts together when we left. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her again.
