About Me
Hello!
I want to introduce myself as the founder of Smart Little Hands Home Nursery. My name is Ana, and I am a registered childminder with an Ofsted-certified childminding agency. During my last inspection in May 2024, I was graded as a "Good Childminder".
I have completed all Childminder & Safeguarding training and gained full certification following a home registration visit with an Ofsted Approved Childminding Agency.
I live in Chineham, in a warm and welcoming spacious house with a garden, I live with my partner, my son, and our lovely cat who is very fluffy and friendly, I believe children can learn a lot from having contact with animals, studies have shown clear links to the development of personal, social and emotional development in teaching children to care for animals.
I am a loving, caring, enthusiastic, playful, and genuine person whose passion is to provide quality childcare and support parents with any needs they may have with their child's development.
I have a passion for cooking, and I will provide a variety of freshly prepared home-cooked meals daily with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, nutritious breakfasts, drinks, snacks, and yoghurt. I will be able to cater to any dietary requirements. Parents are welcome to provide meals and snacks if they wish. I will ensure daily hygiene is at a very high standard.

My Experience
I have a strong passion for working with children. My aim as a childminder is to work in partnership with parents and children to encourage learning and development that will help each child reach their full potential.
I am committed to providing a fun, happy, and safe home-from-home environment, with indoor and outdoor activities with a wide range of age appropriate toys and books, focused on developing the children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoting learning through play.
Parents have access to an app to see their children's progress and learning goals, for daily communication, and to handle payments. I will ensure to give regular updates adding photos and video through the app to the child's profile about our activities and the child's progression.
I am continuously updating my professional development which keeps me up to date with changes in regulations.
I have a lovely garden with a great outside space, and we have a large area with strawberries, which are ready to harvest and enjoy as a dessert every July. Our daily routine includes a variety of activities such as drawing, painting, arts and crafts, interactive games, puzzles, reading books, storytelling, dress-up, singing, dancing, rhyming, water play, sand play, cooking and baking, playing with playdough and gardening. We also love to go to local fun parks, take walks in the woodlands to explore nature, have picnics, visit the local library, attend community events, and with your permission, we can go on trips to local farms, playgrounds, museums and more.
I make sure that all the toys in my care are cleaned regularly, and I have a cosy and calm area designated for nap times so that children can rest and recharge. Additionally, I have a separate dining room for cooking and baking activities, which studies have shown can help children develop healthier eating habits and be less fussy about what they eat. There is also a bathroom exclusively for children on the ground floor, and a driveway for parking.

Ana is the most caring, loving and positive person, she has been a key person in the development and upbringing of my little boy who has been with Ana for just over 2 years. He has built wonderful friendships with other children and loves every second he spends with Ana, playing, learning, singing, dancing and exploring.
Ana has gone above and beyond in helping our now 3 year old grow into a happy, healthy, confident little boy and we couldn't be more grateful. We couldn't recommend Ana enough.

Ana is a lovely childminder, my son started with her 7 months ago, he’s 19months now and he loves going there, specially for the friendly environment and tasty meals she cooks for the kids.
She is an amazing teacher and my son is improving so well thanks to Ana.
The little nursery is the perfect mix of friendly family, very clean and cosy location, a lot of learning having fun at the same time indoor and outdoor. Ana is the best!

She's loving, caring, smiling, always clean nice environment for your child to be. My daughter is 14 months now. She's been going there since she was 9 months she learned a lot from her I'm always happy to take my daughter there and she feel so happy as soon as we get there, I would happily recommend Ana to anyone wanting a safe, fun and nurturing environment for their child to be happy and wonderfully cared for whilst away Thanks again to you for looking after Mariama

Ana is a very good teacher and enjoys what she does. We have tried a few child minders but she’s exceptional. Hubby and I wished we started our son at hers earlier. Her home is extra clean always! We love Ana, she is so warm, welcoming, kind, flexible and organised.
We were worried about leaving our 5 month old with someone new and wanted to pick the right person, and Ana is everything we could have wished for!
Our baby is so unfazed about me leaving because she's so excited about seeing Ana!
