I am a playful and energetic babysitter with a background in psychology and a range of experience within childcare and complex needs. I have babysitting experience and am confident in both following routines given by parents and being more flexible. I am DBS checked and certified in first aid at work. I absolutely love arts and crafts, board games, learning new things around children's interests, supporting children's learning, and having the opportunity to be silly!
My Experience
I currently work as a mental health peer supporter and have experience as an assistant psychologist working with autistic children. I am experienced with working with children and young people aged 5-18 who exhibit behaviour that challenges due to autism, ADHD, and mental health needs. I also have 2 years’ experience within specialist support work for a client who had complex needs such as learning disability, physical disability, and deafblindness. Prior to this I gained 1.5 years’ experience as a playworker in a breakfast and afterschool club for 4–11-year-olds. Within this role I would plan and host activities for up to 50 children.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying a masters in the area of child development (MSc Development, disorders, and clinical practice) and hold a first class degree in psychology. I have also attended training in areas of child safeguarding, autism, learning disabilities, and mental health.
