About Me
I’m a friendly person who just really gets along with kids! I’m super empathetic, friendly and capable and kids respond well to me :) Probably because I’m on my own healing-inner-child journey or something :))
Also, my theory is that you just have to listen to them and respond kindly and with respect. Everything else falls into place itself. Of course, there are times when you have to use your discernment as an adult and make the right/best decision so they don’t hurt themselves or do something silly but that’s also something that I’m good with!
Recently was at a family friend’s house who is fostering 2 brothers (7 and 12) right now and I met them for the first time. Only spent a few hours with them but the 7-year-old was asking her the next morning when I’m coming back to visit :’)
One of the babies (less than a year old) I take care of sometimes, her mom said that “she’s not like that with everyone and that she likes me”.
Anyway, I just like to make sure I really talk to and listen to the child (even if they’re a baby!) I’m interacting with and go from there :)
My Experience
I’ve done a few jobs from on here that I really enjoyed and had no issues with. I have a couple of families I semi-regularly sit for.
In the past, I have babysat my friend’s 2-month-old (changing nappies, feeding her her bottle, keeping an eye on her as she sleeps) and also her 4-year-old son.
I have also babysat kids older than that before for friends and family so age ranges 3-10.
I also used to work at Smiggle :)
My Qualifications
I don’t have any childcare qualifications but I’m a journalism graduate from Portsmouth University.
My Availability
I’m pretty flexible. I have a part-time job working 2-3 evenings a week but the days change weekly. Other than that, I work from home (writing).

Even though or babysitter cancelled last minute (2h prior) Librasun was able to step in. She gave us updates via text, which was a nice way to keep us updated on our little ones activities. Highly recommend!
