My first investment in your child's learning is to find out their individual learning style and the areas that require support. I then use this knowledge to provide them with custom activities, exercises and resources to help them thrive in their chosen topics.
I have a background and degree in performing arts/drama, a Place2Be level 4 child counselling certificate and 11 years of experience in education. When bringing this experience together, the recurring theme is play, creativity and discovery. Play underpins many of my activities, I use my creativity to consistently adapt to each child's needs and the children discover through sessions they achieve more than they thought.
In my first role as a SEN LSA, I observed the student's natural "lesson survival techniques" and what methods led to making learning accessible. I then used that knowledge to devise individualised sessions and to source or create resources to support them.
During my years as an EAL practitioner, I was trusted to change our school EAL teaching strategies. We went from mostly sheet based work to a more immersive learning experience, that included play. I encouraged the children to take pride in and ownership of their learning journey. I introduced the use of imagination and exploration to activities and it became the universal language of our group sessions. This change made a drastic difference to the speed at which the children were learning and their confidence.

Yasmine is an amazing tutor working with my 5y daughter .She knows exactly what my daughters weakness are and how to work on it with patience and determination. Her skills and body language are at a very high standard towards working with kids .

Yasmine is an amazing tutor. She has been working with my son (5) and I couldn’t be happier. She is extremely thoughtful in her planning, making it fun for him to learn and her passion for teaching shines through. I am highly impressed and would not hesitate in recommending her!
