About Me
I am Ofsted registered childminder and thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself and my child-minding setting, Nelliphants. My passion for working with children led me to pursue my dream of becoming a childminder after the birth of my first son, and I have not looked back since.
Nelliphants provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for your child to explore, learn, and have fun. I have dedicated playroom just for my Nelliphants which is filled with toys of all shapes and sizes.
At Nelliphants, I prioritise the holistic development of your child through play. We go out every day, usually in the morning if the weather allows us and we make use of all the lovely play groups in our local area as well as traveling on the tube or bus to find new adventures. I currently hold a music class every Tuesday with a lovely music teacher called Helen and will be offering a yoga class from April 2024.
After our lovely mornings exploring different activities, we come home for lunch and nap time. In the afternoon’s we do lots of playing, arts and crafts, cooking (so far we’ve made Pizza’s, mince pies @ xmas and pumpkin biscuits @ Halloween, pancakes, cookies, meringues, lasagne etc). I have special knives so the children can safely cut all fruit and vegetable without hurting their little fingers.
As you can tell we are a foodie family so all the food my Nelliphants have is cooked from scratch with organic vegetables and I purchase all our meat from a local butchers (I use W.D Chapman on Woodford Green High Road). If your little one has cow’s milk, our milk is organic grass fed whole milk from Parker Dairies so the best I could fine locally. I've recently added an organic fruit & veg box which the children love to open each week.
My Experience
I have been working with children since I was at school. Worked in Nurseries and provided regular baby sitting to my neighbours children. I have 3 younger siblings with a 16 year age gap so grew up around toddlers too. I became a childminder after my first son in 2021 and now have 2 boys.

My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Fee's are inclusive of everything including 3 meals a day and 2 snacks, nappies, formula, milk and outings.

Nellie looked after my son for a year from when he was 18 months old. He settled in really quickly and was so happy with her. He would run in to see her and often ask to spend time with her. Nellie really cares about the children she looks after and is passionate about early years care. I loved that she took the kids out so they had a variety of experiences including trips to the farm, playgroups, music class. We also really appreciated her flexibility to accommodate our needs. I’d like to know her secret as she seems to have endless amounts of energy even when looking after lots of little people, she really is some kind of super woman. Thank you Nellie!

Our daughter loved going to Nellies during last summer. Our usual setup wasn’t available and Nellie was so helpful and kind and helped our girl (then 18months) settle in straight away in the most calm way!
She had a lovely setup with toys galore, water play and overall the atmosphere was just very relaxed while attending to the kids. The outings they did were super cute and Nellie always had ideas and a plan about where to go and what to do. I really appreciated her recaps on the day, (food/nappies/general) overall it just felt like she treated all of the kids as her own. Easy & great communication also throughout the day when needed.

Nellie is such an amazing childminder but also now a good friend. My son was with Nellie for just over a year and she helped him settle in nicely. I loved the fact she took him out everyday to explore the world, she'd take him places I wouldn't normally go and would create and make things that I wouldn't normally make. Her home cooked meals my son always ate and it was nice to know it was healthy and good for them too. We would have stayed with her longer if we could have! She's loving, understanding and patient and I look up to her and how calm she is. We loved Nellie so much we've stayed in touch and see her once a week so our boys can play! X
