My Name is Erin, I am 22 years old and have a degree in sociology. I like arts and crafts, love music, singing, dancing and I like to read. I have grown up around children; I have three younger siblings who I am extremely close with and I currently work with children with additional support needs and I volunteer with children as a mentor too. I would describe myself as fun and bubbly and I always like to see the positive side of things. I am very empathetic and have good patience.
My Experience
In my degree, I had to do a lot of work on child psychology so I have a great awareness of behaviour, milestones and emotions. I currently work in an SEBN school, which means I work with children who have social, emotional and behavioural needs- through this job I have had to learn emotional first aid and have done a lot of work on emotion- therefore I feel equipped to work with any child and I believe I will approach every situation with the utmost care and patience. I also volunteer on a weekly basis with a young person, my goal in this is to help them have fun and give them a safe space to open up when something is bothering them.
