About Me
My name is Lynsey Riddell and I live with my husband Andrew and sons, Oscar and Mason. Oscar is 8 years old and Mason is 2 years old.
I started up my own business as a childminder in 2011 following the birth of my first son. Prior to this I worked as a full time midwife for 7 years. With having my son Oscar I decided that childminding would give me the opportunity to remain a stay at home mother and provide a valuable service for the community.
I make a point of introducing all of my family to new prospective families because I feel that it is very important that your child should know the people that he or she will meet regularly in my house. My husband has a full time job in Edinburgh and my son Oscar is 8 years old and loves spending his days playing with all his toys and other children. Mason is 2 and loves the outdoors. We don’t have any pets.
I live in Duloch and use all local amenities, toddlers, bookbugs, walk in the woods etc but also with driving we can explore other local areas , parks, soft play etc. I’m a great lover of the outdoors, come rain or sunshine we will be out playing and having fun.
My Experience
I have extensive experience with babies and small children being a midwife and working for some time in a Neonatal Unit.

We couldn’t ask for a better person to look after our little girl.
Lynsey is very creative with all the activities that she does with the children and our daughter has really thrived in the time she has spent with her. She does so many different things with the children with lots of crafts, cooking and outdoor play.
We have been really struck by the thoughtful and caring approach Lynsey takes and couldn’t recommend her more highly.

My daughter is just about to start school this year. She has been going to Lynsey since she was 2. We have been really impressed with the level of care Lynsey provides and the extra efforts she makes with the children she looks after. Our daughter has really enjoyed her time with Lynsey. Lynsey puts a lot of energy and enthusiasm into her role. She takes the children to soft play, local parks, book bug sessions at the library and gets them involved in games in the garden. When the children are indoors Lynsey bakes with them, and does lots of painting and crafts. We have never had any complaints and have always been really happy with the care Lynsey provides. Our eldest child went to three of the local private chlld care nurserys and I was never completely happy with any of them. The individual care and attention Lynsey provides is far superior to any day care nursery.
