About Me
We live in Great Barrington in a beautiful sunny south facing house with a big garden. We have an architecture business, a little boy who is nearly 3 and two dogs. I am pregnant with a girl, due mid March. Looking for a friendly and capable nanny/mothers help/housekeeper to help me look after our son and keep things going around the house.
Happy to answer any questions!
My Requirements
We are looking for a special person to become part of our family who is professional, enthusiastic and nurturing with a passion for their work. It would be desirable to have newborn experience and some Nanny experience.
You will need to provide a calm, stimulating and loving environment and have a keen interest and knowledge of the outdoors. Your duties would be varied but shared with another very experienced nanny who works mornings Mon-Fri.
Our little boy is a loving, happy fellow and he enjoys the outdoors, singing, dancing, transport and all physical activities!
We are looking someone who has a passion for a baby-led approach and understands how to grow confidence through giving the child a sense of autonomy and responsibility when learning about the world, in many ways like the Montessori approach. Being baby-led and baby-focused in your approach is essential.
We love the Sarah Okwell Smith books and Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff and think its vital to provide continuity of care between the parents and nanny. Therefore a strong parent-nanny team approach is sought.
Our children are our absolute priority, we enjoy a healthy lifestyle and are keen to find someone who is happy to follow recipes but also be involved in meal planning, to ensure variety and great nutrition.
We eat all organic food and there are no chemicals in the household. We would love to find someone who understands the benefits of this approach and respects what we are trying to achieve.
We love making homemade toys, art-attack style, teaching about creating value in items that might be thrown away; fostering creativity and imagination.
Paediatric first aid is essential. We can provide this for the right candidate.
Level 3 Childcare is desirable.
Start date: asap
Pets at home: 1 cocker spaniel and 1 Labrador - both needy but loving!
Driving is essential, car provided whilst on duty.
Budget provided for yearly passes to local destinations, craft projects and days out.
Pay: negotiable based on experience.
Hours: 2pm - 8pm Monday - Friday. Mornings Saturday and Sunday. There is an element of flexibility in our hours/days for the right person! If you like the sound of the position but you can't meet all of the above hours, we would still be interested in hearing from you.

Rhiannon has been fantastic since the moment she joined us in August. Our son absolutely loves her and she really puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
She has made sensory toys for him, taken him to baby groups, outdoor play and helped me when he has been ill, in addition to all the usual things I have asked her to do! Couldn’t fault a thing!
